Relief with an ear from the Sanctuary of Asklepios. The drill at the bottom may have helped its suspension on a wall or some other surface in the sanctuary.

It is one of the innumerable votives to Asklepios offered by patients to the god, either with the hope that he would cure their affected bodypart, in this case the patient’s ear, or to express their gratitude for having being healed.
